Bon Accord Care, a key provider of social care services for vulnerable people and their families across Aberdeen, has announced the launch of its new website which offers a complete range of free awareness-raising sessions and links to key resources www.bonaccordcare.com
The new online resource, developed by their Learning and Development Team and key partners, aims to provide all social care staff with the underpinning knowledge and guidance to support specific tasks in the community by giving them access to learning resources with the necessary information that will allow them to effectively carry out their roles.
Directly responding to the coronavirus outbreak and social distancing restrictions on face to face learning, Bon Accord Care aims to ensure their workforce and partners remain connected and have the right information at the right time to meet the challenges faced during the current situation. There is information on areas such as infection control, moving and handling, health and safety, dementia awareness and many more, with content being regularly updated in line with current advice and as more resources become available.
A Reflective Practice Form is also available for the completion of each online course to help reinforce the main learning points whilst also identifying any further learning requirements. The form can be used as evidence for a course completion record, professional registration and SVQ evidence.
Alexis Chappell, Managing Director of Bon Accord Care, said: “Bon Accord Care are pleased to launch this new online resource. This new online resource brings together a range of free and easy to access online training and information to enable our workforce, the people and communities we support, and our colleagues and partners in the health and social care sector to respond quickly to the challenges we are all facing, during this unprecedented time.”
