Bon Accord Care has been awarded Silver Level by Investors for Young People (IIYP) after its latest audit. It already hold Investors in People for its general staff.
The national award, that recognises the investment that businesses make in their staff, is subject to a strict annual audit, that includes a survey of staff.
The IIYP particularly noted the way that Bon Accord Care had flexed during the pandemic to meet the changing demands of their service and how they supported their young workforce during that time. They praised the effective organisational leadership and the commitment to supporting their staff develop a career in care.
Pamela MacKenzie is the Managing Director of Bon Accord Care. She said:

The Board and I are truly committed to the development of an organisational young person’s strategy.”
Bon Accord Care works with DYW and Career Ready to provide work experience and mentoring to young people to demonstrate all the opportunities that a career in the fast growing care sector. They have also worked with organisation such as Barnardo’s and North-East Sensory Services (NESS) to help young people who may have barriers to work.
