Care at home

We offer a high quality, personalised service in the privacy and comfort of your own home, or Very Sheltered Housing, to allow you to remain in familiar surroundings, and enjoy the benefits of having family, friends and personal possessions around you.

Our friendly and specially trained Support Workers are available to meet your specific needs. They are ever willing to do what it takes to make life as simple as possible for you, ensuring your privacy and dignity are protected at all times, and help to maintain your independence and the lifestyle to which you have become accustomed.

If you feel you would benefit from some help at home, the first thing to do is contact the social services department to ask for an assessment of care and support needs.

Community Meals Service

Working in partnership: Bon Accord Care, Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership and Apetito.

Eating well is essential for everyone but the reality of preparing a nutritional, satisfying meal can be a bit of a challenge at times. Through our community meal service, you have access to a wide range of great value, healthy frozen meals that are delivered directly to your door.

You can benefit from a hot meal every day in as little as 10 minutes, ensuring you are equipped to live independently at home for as long as possible. The two course meals are nutritionally balanced to keep you nourished and hydrated, and are continuously monitored to ensure that each meal meets the highest recommended standards. Each meal is prepared with fresh quality ingredients, containing vitamins and minerals, to offer you the flexibility to enjoy what you choose when you choose.

How does it work?

Our menu selector contains a wide range of meals with a description of each so you know what you’re getting, from which you will make your selection and complete an order form.  Each meal will consist of a soup and a main OR a main course and a dessert.

You are able to choose what you like to eat based on your own personal preference. All meals are charged at a discounted rate, and we provide meals that cater for special dietary needs, cultural and religious requirements.

Every two weeks your selected pre-prepared frozen meals will be delivered to you. If you don’t own a freezer or a microwave, don’t worry, as we will offer you a loan of either free of charge.

Arrangements will be made for a delivery day that is convenient for you. You will be met by your friendly delivery driver who will ensure your meals are stored safely, collect payment and take your next order.
